Henrik Stenson and legendary golf journalist, Göran Zachrisson, met up at a movie theatre to look back at the final round of the 2016 The Open Championship. Stenson’s 63 shots did not only make him the first male swede to win a major - it was also the best ever score during a final round in a major tournament.

When Henrik Stenson won the 2016 The Open Championship at Royal Troon in Scotland he became the first male player from Sweden to win a major. The win in itself was a big deal, but even more so because of the way he won it. His total score was the lowest in major history and his 63 shots in the final round was also a record.
Stenson and Phil Mickelson was neck and neck during the whole tournament and on the final day they were miles ahead of everyone else. The final round went down in history as one of the greatest rounds of golf ever played, many compared it to the legendary ”Battle in the Sun” between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson in 1977.
Viaplay asked Katagrama to produce a review of the tournament to rally interest ahead of the 2017 edition of The Open. We developed an idea where the legendary golf journalist, Göran Zachrisson, met up with Stenson at a movie theatre to look back at the final round. We also produced segments with Zachrisson at key holes around Royal Troon and had him interview officials and referee’s who followed the final round ”inside the ropes”.
Although the tournament was played almost a year earlier, viewers got a whole new insights into the events on and off the course. And it had effect - the film was number one on Viaplay for three weeks and the tournament ratings on linear TV reached an all time high.
